Xera: Mass Action Printing

Things to keep in mind with printing in Xera :

1) Printing is controlled by Java. If it is not installed, too far out of date, or does not have permission to run – you will encounter errors or odd behavior.

2) Databases can have multiple image keys – be sure you have the right one selected prior to printing.

3) If you see the error message “The image cannot be viewed because the link to the attachment is broken or empty”, try a different image key. This is a generic message that can be misleading.

4) Large files will take longer to print.

Mass action printing is effectively like batch printing, but with fewer options (such as slip sheets). This feature can be located just below the document group toggle on the table view.

Your options are fairly straightforward: Selected Documents are just those you have checked in the table view. Unselected Documents is the opposite. Current query is the full contents of your current search. Entire database is everything in the database.

On the next tab, you will have the options of including redactions/ annotations and which image key field you wish to use.

MA-2

Keep in mind that databases can have multiple image keys. For example temporary images (originals) and production images (contain endorsements and bates numbering). Be sure to use the correct image table for the images you need. **Each image key must be exported separately. If, for example, you are viewing a range of documents where some have production images and others do not, you will need to batch print those two sets separately. **
